Your Role as an Apprentice

Technology Support Apprentices provide technical assistance to computer users, answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients. This role is part of the IT infrastructure and systems and provides support with computer hardware and software. This includes printing, installation, word processing, email, and operating systems. Join a diverse team filled with people from different backgrounds and experiences.

• In this role you could:
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve various problems (e.g., malfunctioning software, user account lock out).
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
  • Observe and listen to others and document ideas, concerns, insights, notes, etc.
  • Collaborate with teammates and internal customers

About the Ideal Candidate

• Technical Mindset: You are eager to learn new technologies and are familiar with the use of computers, hardware, and peripheral devices. You must have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Organized: You are responsible and possess discipline and determination. You are focused; a planner who likes to achieve and improve. 
• Problem Solver: You enjoy resolving problems and learning new things. 
• Service Orientated: You enjoy helping others and learning from daily tasks.

• Strong Communicator: You should be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing through email.
