Software Engineering Manager

Software Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; Hartford CT): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of a Software Engineering Manager in Hartford, CT to design the technical solution and manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. S/He will perform the following duties: build and unit test proposed technical solutions; support system and user acceptance testing activities by providing technical insight to functional team members while analyzing and debugging issues identified; work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system rollouts, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications; provide guidance and mentorship to junior level technical team members with their respective design, build, and testing activities; participate in reviewing the technical design, build, unit test, and other documentation produced by the technical team; work with resources on both the development and functional teams to address any comments, concerns, or gaps in the design documentation; raise questions or impediments to supervisors and produce status reporting in alignment with project standards in a timely and ongoing manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Engineering (any), or in a closely related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineering Analyst, Systems Analyst or related IT positions. This position also requires the following professional experience: 4 years using software engineering practices for application development in waterfall or Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe leveraging tools such as Rally; 3 years’ experience with application development using .Net Core, ASP.Net, MQ Client, PowerShell, Azure and AWS Services; 5 years utilizing code build with Devops tools like GitHub, Bit-Bucket, SonarQube and uDeploy, Jenkins, TFS; 5 years utilizing technical design sessions to translate business and functional requirements into ETL design specifications; 4 years utilizing application development databases such as Sql Server, Oracle, Stored procedures, Database design and performance improvement; and 5 years utilizing web applications from Visual Studio-2005 to Visual Studio-2019 for Insurance, Banking and Healthcare applications.

Telecommuting is permitted; needs to reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the assigned Accenture office.
