As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of new features for the Accolade Expert Medical Opinion Platform, as well as the maintenance of the current code base for that platform. You can find additional information about our product here. You will work with internal stakeholders, product managers and your manager to understand requirements and translate them into software solutions.

A day in the life…

• Understand business requirements and scope of enhancements.
• Effectively Design, Architect, and plan the delivery of the proposed enhancements and maintenance
• Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time with high quality
• Provide coaching to more junior team members
• Demonstrate creative, technical, and analytical skills
• Support a current PHP monolithic application as we work to transition it to a Microservices architecture
• Perform code reviews, troubleshooting of new features and quality reviews

To be successful on this position you should have…

• Solid understanding of full stack web development on Open-Source Technologies
• Around 3 years of experience developing web applications using Java or PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Strong working experience with Git
• Working experience building REST APIs
• Working experience with Docker Containers and Microservices architectures
• Understanding of AWS IAM, S3, RDS, ECS, API Gateway is a big plus
• Experience in building and working in a highly agile, collaborative, innovative, flexible environment
• Solid foundation on Modern DevOps culture
