Role overview

The Team Lead, Business Analytics, reporting to the Business Analytics Sr. Director is responsible for supporting Accolade’s Service Operations by applying analytical skills and business acumen to influence process transformation, operational service delivery models, and organizational optimization. As an integral member of our team, you will manage and synthesize data, identify, and validate opportunities, test the viability of proposed solutions, and interpret and communicate relevant information to business leaders. The Team Lead will be responsible for collaborating with the Business Analytics team, providing reports, developing analyses, distilling actionable insights to enable data-driven decision-making, leading a team of analysts, and coordinate cooperation with internal stakeholders.

A day in the life…

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of analysts, mentoring and coaching them to develop their skill
  • Working closely with different teams to shape the overall data and analytics vision
  • Assess inefficiencies and existing processes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Mine & analyze data from multiple sources to drive optimization & improvement of business strategies with strong logical and business acumen
  • Provide support to leverage data to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Support the maintenance of data/metrics feeding dashboards; validate calculations/reporting qualifications and build reports and input data in our analytics platforms.
  • Designs, experiments, collects data, performs statistical analysis, and presents solutions to improve care
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques
  • Collaborate to identify root causes and recommended solutions
  • Partner on special projects and support ongoing in the Business Analytics Team  
  • Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct team members

What we are looking for…

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience with data analysis and/or analytical field of study
  • Solid business acumen; analytical and inquisitive.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, data manipulation skills and data tools.
  • Experience with the following technologies: Quicksight, S3 Buckets, Python, SQL, Workday, Verint, Qualtrics, Jira, Confluence.
  • Strong Experience with MS Excel and MS Office Suite of Tools
  • Comfort working with large datasets and building dashboards
  • Ability to create proper documentation – workflow mapping
  • Ability and desire to learn new systems, and proficiency in the implementation of new/unfamiliar software tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change infused, demanding environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” mindset and desire to add value.
  • Team player capable of effective collaboration across highly matrixed organization focused on attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Time management and task prioritization; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
