The Bid Coordinator will pursue and receive procurement opportunities and lead the preparation and submission of winning proposals. In this role, the Coordinator of Bids & Proposals will work with cross-functional team members to help respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage the proposal development process to ensure on-time delivery of compelling, compliant, and well-written proposals.
The position involves researching, writing, and producing a high volume of client-facing documentation on behalf of our company in support of an array of our products. The Teammate will do data entry in Salesforce.com or other data management applications as needed. The Team Member will interact with our retail stores, regional sales and account managers, other support center team members, and occasionally directly with customers. A working knowledge (intermediate skill level) with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint) as well as the ability to navigate State and Local government agency websites is needed. A high level of organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision is necessary. Strong customer service skills and the ability to multi-task and operate under strict deadlines are required. The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starter, multitasker who works well under pressure, and follows through on tasks.
The regular workweek is forty hours, however, requirements of the position may warrant extended work hours.

Customer Management – Must work well with stores and regional managers to ensure smooth execution of bid preparation and contract implementation.
Proposal Preparation – Must know how to populate, formulate and manipulate excel spreadsheets and learn how to complete government registrations and bid documents for review and approval by manager.
Administrative - maintaining customer files, data entry, maintenance of government accounts, prompt responses to customer’s needs, copying, scanning, filing, etc.
Bid Proposals– Assist with preparation and submittal of bids to municipalities, large fleets, and national accounts. Will maintain and update the bid status report (Bid & Contract Log) for weekly distribution.
Analytical - Proven analytical skills and use of data tools and ability to verify data-integrity for analysis, analyze data for errors and inconsistencies for reporting and rebates.
Ability to be flexible and work multiple bids or proposals in a single day.
A desire to be a self-starter and drive to find efficiencies to current processes.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with team members.
Ability to potentially travel for trade show or marketing projects.
Automotive experience a plus
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Word and minimum 3 years experience working in a professional office environment required. Must possess a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Specialized knowledge and Languages
Must be familiar with common office practices, be fast and accurate with data entry and be able to manage several projects simultaneously, have strong organization and communication skills and know Microsoft Office programs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree preferred or equivalent experience
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to work at desk on computer for duration of the workday
