Job Description
The Sr Asset Protection Manager (Sr APM) works directly with the Director of Asset Protection and the Regional Vice President
(RVP) of Operations. They are responsible for directing and coordinating the AP Department efforts and initiatives in partnership
with Field Operators and Cross – Functional teams to achieve maximum effectiveness in controlling loss within their assigned
Region. The Sr APM oversees the management and development of a team of Asset Protection Manager(s) (APM) and oversees
the AP Operations of approximately 500+ stores. They are held accountable for all investigations, controllable lines of shrink,
cost of risk, training and assessments to ensure operational and procedural compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Implement strategy in partnership with the RVP to execute programs which support areas of profitability, inventory
excellence and business continuity
• Recruit, hire, lead and develop a team of Asset Protection Manager(s) (APM)
• Manage Region Shrink and Outlier Program to include analyzing trends, determining root cause, devising improvement
strategies and providing recommendations to address opportunities and gaps in execution in partnership with the
APMs and Operators
• Present findings (patterns and trends) and proposed solutions to executive leadership
• Perform Market Visits in assigned Region to analyze business operations and ensure policy and procedural compliance
• Participate in Regional, District and Store level AP training both in person or via telephone
• Participate in Regional and District visits and calls as necessary, to strengthen partnerships and improve the overall
awareness of the AP Department’s efforts and initiatives
• Manage activity of the APM(s) in the Region to include investigations, audits, store visits and other duties as assigned
• Direct oversight of investigations relating to internal theft, external theft, fraud and policy violations
• Manage administration of Region Secure Store exception based reporting software to identify areas of loss or exposure
within the company
• Assist in coordination of physical security programs (alarms, CCTV, safes, etc.)

• Proficient knowledge of excepted internal investigation processes and methodologies in a retail environment

• Must have solid conflict management skills with the ability to work alone in stressful situations
• Must have proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities to
meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
Minimum Requirements:
• 5-8+ years of asset protection experience
• 5+ years of multi-unit experience
• Pass extensive background check
• Ability to work nights, evenings and weekends appropriate to retail business needs
• Certified in Wicklander/Zulawski methodologies on interview and interrogation techniques are required. Certified
Forensic Interviewer preferred.
• Up to 60% overnight travel may be required to complete the requirements associated with this position
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years multi-unit related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master in Business Administration preferred
