Also responsible for the reconciliation of weekly payroll files before posting to the general ledger accounts. Research labor distribution as requested by the Brands. This position requires a complete knowledge of payroll systems, tax payment requirements, financial systems and business processes.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reconcile and analyze assigned department general ledger accounts
Post all payroll entries to general ledger accounts
Responds to all inquiries from the business for questions related to payroll accounts and labor account postings
Research, resolve and reconcile outstanding general ledger items and variances.
Accurately record transactions to the general ledger for salaries and related items
Perform ad hoc domestic accounting reconciliations including payroll-related accrual and tax accounts.
Perform root cause analysis to determine drivers for variances and elevate to Manager as appropriate
Respond and resolve all Payroll-related associate inquiries that come through the Associate Service Center. (supporting over 200,000 associates)
Responsible for other duties as required
Maintain confidentiality with all associate information.
It is expected this position will function quite independently and be able to resolve any issues that arise in the account reconciliations themselves.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred
Strong Excel skills & Microsoft Office applications
Previous accounting experience in General Ledger and account reconciliation processes
Strong analytical skills
Strong attention to deadlines
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Experience with ECP systems preferred
ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $19.00 - $28.50
