The Health Senior Client Manager owns the holistic development of solutions for their client’s project work.  The Senior Client Manager helps manage the overall relationship with their client and directs their team members to deliver exceptional service.  They will do this by understanding health best practices and bringing ideas to the table for our clients that are innovative and fresh.  They will not focus on how things have ‘always been done in the past’ but will instead listen to their clients and provide solutions for the situation at hand.  A high performing senior client manager exhibits strong project management, operations, and health care practice knowledge.  Mastery of domain concepts will be exhibited by how a Senior Client Manager builds their team’s health knowledge as well as the ability to deliver effective client consulting.  

The Senior Client Manager is able to:

  • Manage complex projects
  • Lead a global team
  • Be a subject matter expert on domain and operational solutions
  • Have a strong understanding of our systems delivery capabilities

The Senior Client Manager is responsible for delivery a broad spectrum of tasks, including:

Client Delivery Focus

  • Plays a vital role in the managing, creation and presentation of the materials for client stewardship meetings
  • Manages day to day client, internal 3rd party, andvendor relationships
  • Leads project debriefs with the client (including Annual Enrollment)
  • Consults clients on best practices and legislative changes
  • Develops solutions to serve client needs
  • Manages external client acceptance testing
  • Leads strategic conversations with the client
  • Subject matter expert on the contractual agreements and performance measures
  • Responsible for meeting client operational measures and provide regular metrics reporting to the client

Project & Administration Delivery

  • Overall manager for complex, large scope projects, including change orders and Annual Enrollment
  • Owns requirements definition, both internally and externally
  • Develops risk mitigation plans for client team projects and ongoing work
  • Develops and owns client action plans
  • Responsible for leading Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
  • Responsible for the overall operational delivery of a client team
  • Manages the team to SLA adherence and is responsible for ‘get to green’ plans when stability is needed
  • Identifies potential E&O and opportunities to mitigate as well as participates in E&O conversations with Alight Leadership/Client
  • Responsible for managing resources to meet business deliverables and escalates to Health Team Leaders as necessary
  • Acts as the integrator between Customer Care Teams, Shared Services, Point Solutions and the CDG for all new and ongoing work

Team Development

  • Owns team development of domain and operational skills
  • Can coach their peer group
  • Consults client team on best practices
  • Coaches team members how to delivery proactive feedback and is willing to have the tough conversation.
  • Leads training courses for domain and operational fundamentals
  • Performs extracurricular activities and participates in ad hoc initiatives
  • Mastery of project Iteration life cycle and deployment governance
