Position summary

The Sales Compensation Admin Analyst is responsible for driving the calculation of incentive compensation for eligible employees with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and consistency as defined by the corresponding compensation programs and plans. The role will promote, influence and ensure operational excellence in our systems and practices to meet deadlines. Additionally, the Sales Comp Admin Analyst will collaborate directly with subject matter experts across Finance, HR, Sales Operations and Sales Leadership to align sales incentive designs with benchmark metrics.

This role report to the Head of Sales Incentive Compensation and will provide support to the Business Operations function in the following areas:

  • Serve as analyst for Alight Solutions Sales Compensation Administration 
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual administration of compensation plans for
    • Sales Executives, Solution Architects, Sales Managers and Sales Leaders
    • Bonus incentive plans and special incentive plans
  • Work with leadership to develop and provide updates to leadership on plan design including:
    • Management of annual planning process with leadership
    • Measurement of plan effectiveness and alignment to sales strategy
    • Coordination with finance on budgeting and forecasting
    • Development of reports with quarterly and annual commission results
    • Analysis of prior year plan design and results and recommendations for future plan design
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports used to inform advise Business and Sales Leadership of trends and behaviors driven thru sales incentive plans
  • Serve as point of contact for Sales Reps on Comp Admin system issues and questions
  • Maintain data integrity through scheduled review to ensure opportunities are correctly entered in CRM for crediting and commissioning purposes
  • Work with offshore resources who assist with operational reporting
  • Collaborate with global contacts to gather global sales data
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for data and analyses
  • Develop and manage sales compensation tool
  • Provide additional CRM and Comp Admin tool user support and training

Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or business finance is preferred or equivalent work-related experience
  • 5 to 10 years professional work experience in a sales compensation or analytical / research position
  • 5 plus years of strong research, reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Self-starter; highly proactive
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Project management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Advanced abilities in MS Excel and other analytical tools
  • Advanced abilities in Saleforce.com and Xactly compensation management tool preferred
  • Experience with business intelligence/data aggregation tools (Tableau/Microsoft Power BI)
