We're looking for an experiencedand profoundly engagedSenior****ContentDesigner, based inChicago, IL,to join our multidisciplinaryAccessibilityteam. You'll beresponsible forreimagining employee experiencesfor 26m users and their familiesanddelivering content for all Alight products. TheSeniorContentDesignerwillapplya strongcontentPOV, deep understanding of user experience and set the bar for quality and innovation at Alight. For individual projects,theywill work with ProductDesigners,ProductManagersand Engineersto integrate business requirements intocontentstrategies, interaction, andcopysolutions. As a member ofTheProduct DesignAccessibility Team,youwillpartner closelywithAccessibility Leadershiptodeliver accessible,inclusive design and customer-focused outcomes.The team will ensure delivery of Alight's Accessibility standards withinConsumer Productand establish new policies within the team. They will operate as the subject matter experts onProduct DesignAccessibility and offer consultant services to the broader organization. This team will partner with product teams acrossAlighttohighlight the importanceof accessibilitywhile continuing innovation specific to automation and testingwithin Product Design
The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:
Collaborating with Accessibility Leadership and a world-classteam ofProduct Designers, UXDesign - Researchers&Product Managers
Develop end-to-end content strategy for more complex problems
Define our accessibility content strategy to conform with WCAG 2.1 (AA Level) content standards
Develop processes, definestandardsand suggest tools to keep the accessibility team at the forefront of innovation
Mentor other content designers and be responsible for content quality of all accessibility documentation and standards
Be an active member of the Accessibility and design system team, sharing knowledge and best practices
Promote content design in the company and showcase usability and accessibility related success stories
Demonstrate ability to evaluate and design for the interactions between language and design elements to construct a logical, compelling narrative throughout user/client journey
Simplify complex health, wealth,careerand wellbeing scenarios into useful information for users
Defineand applyconsistent voice and tone throughout content journey
Definecontent goals and journeys based on user or customer goals
Ability to collaborate and run Content Design workshops and Sprints
Experience in multitasking and working in ambiguous situations
Helpsupportashared design vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product design and execution
Grow a culture of design and ship with speed, consistency, andquality;rebuilding our culture
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MS a plus
Expertise inFigma,Sketch, Miro/Mural,and/orInvision
Significant experience with accessibility standards, accessibility features, and inclusive design practices
5+ years of experience inContent Design or Copywritingroles at Design or Digital Agencies, Startups or Fortune 500 companies
3+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering/dev,designand user research teams
