Position summary

Senior Manager, Corporate Communications

Description

The senior manager of corporate communications will work closely with the VP of Communications, PR team and other stakeholders to align and execute on Alight’s external communications strategy.

The sr. manager is responsible for building, shaping, and protecting Alight’s brand while furthering its awareness and credibility through media, analyst, the public, and other key external influencer groups. This role is responsible for defining external communications strategies across PR, corporate communications and corporate marketing that deliver measurable results for the business.

This role is also accountable for driving Alight’s reputation and crisis communications strategy externally working alongside general counsel, other leaders and internal and external stakeholder groups.

This role is also accountable for driving the external communications strategy around major corporate initiatives, events and milestones including M&A, leadership changes, etc.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years public relations experience in a corporate or agency setting with an emphasis on media relations
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred (e.g., Communication, Journalism, English, Business)
  • Experience with SaaS and/or HR technology companies a plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
  • Ability and willingness to perform both strategic and tactical elements of the role
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to execute programs with speed, accuracy and efficiency
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality and detail
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with a strong desire to work entrepreneurially
  • Team oriented with a strong sense of commitment to colleagues and internal clients
  • Experience working with external PR agencies
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally and work outside of standard office hours as needed
