The Functional Consultant is accountable to the quality and timeliness of the functional implementation of the project he or she is assigned with.
Functional implementation
• Lead overall architecture definition, and deliverables planning for project assigned
• Contribute and lead efforts to the solution design, review and alignment of deliverables, and ensure his/her project team adhere to all standards
• Ensure proficiency and quality in the configuration, use and deployment of OM/PA/PY/TM modules in the project currently assigned with
• Provide subject matter expertise to all technical and functional resources assigned in the project
People Management and Development
• Provide deliverables and project objectives to functional and technical resources assigned to the project
• Mentoring project resources
• Act as the primary escalation point within the project for all project issues related to functional implementation
Implementation Standards and Thought Leadership
• Business process guidance and solution definition for the configuration and development on euHReka
• Ensure that lessons learned activities from a functional and technical point of view are completed
• Ensure that he or she has up-to-date knowledge of the euHReka product, methodologies, and tools
In parallel, the role can act also as support for the sales activities:
• Pre-sales and workshop support
Key role competencies
Technical skills:
• Bachelor or Master degree with a Business or Technical emphasis, or equivalent
• Expertise with statutory and country specific knowledge
• 3-4 years of leadership and implementation experience on ERP implementations, preferably SAP
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills of technical resources in complex and challenging development and implementation environments
• Proven proficiency with SAP configuration and implementation
• Possess consulting skills, including conducting business needs analysis and mastery of enterprise solutions design
• Familiar with the Project Management standard methodologies ((PMBOK, Prince 2)
Personal skills:
• Exceptional analytical capabilities and attention to detail while maintaining overall understanding of the big picture
• Ability to effectively respond to changing and conflicting priorities
• Ability to thrive in an environment in which resources may be limited and timelines are short
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to build relationships with consultants, customer staff and sub-contractors
• Have superior written and verbal communication skills and presentation abilities on all levels
• Be a team player with excellent organizational capabilities
• Be comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven work environment
• Be reliable, organised and have well developed problem solving skills
• Be committed to the customer, the team and the project
• Willingness to travel with the ability to work at odd hours
• English and Japanese fluency is mandatory
Desirable skills:
• SAP HR Functional/Technical implementation and configuration experience
• Mastery of HR business Processes and country specific nuances
• Understanding of project management standard methodologies (PMBOK, Prince 2) is an advantage
