Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and secure APIs that integrate with various systems and clients.

Job Responsibilities
Must have knowledge in all stages of software development, and you will be working alongside other engineers and developers.

• Deep experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem

• Experience and knowledge in developing/consuming REST APIs including tooling for documentation (Swagger, Postman), versioning, service discovery/registration, testing and management, with recent Experience in Spring Boot; experience using API gateways (Apigee) is a plus.

• Experience with Test Driven Development; including knowledge and experience in testing frameworks.

• Provide technical guidance and coaching to engineering team. Develop, mentor and evaluate the engineering team.

• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.

• Implement security and data protection in API development.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Improve engineering quality and efficiency (e.g. code review, refactoring, tech debts, system redesign, etc.)

• Implement best practices in architecture for development and design and must be able to design architectures that are maintainable.

• Experienced at developing highly available and reliable cloud-based applications.

• Ability to solve problems in timely and structured manner with strong analytical approach and emphasize on fast recovery/fast roll-back and fast fix-forward capabilities.

• Ability to handle people management responsibilities.

• Ability to do gap analysis for technical skills for team and propose learnings for them to adhere to Allstate recommendations

• Strong development skills in JAVA Spring boot.

• Expertise in building Web Services/ APIs.

• Experience in building Microservices using spring boot,

• Experience working in Kafka.

• Experience working in an Agile delivery model.

• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins.

• Good communication skills.

• Experience deploying to cloud environments and CICD.

• Experience in working on logging and monitoring tools like Datadog, Kibana.

• Strong communication skills; Enthusiasm for community, learning, and collaboration with good analytical skills.

• Ability to work in a high-paced team environment.
