Job Summary:

The Building Engineer Specialist has technical skills to support building-related equipment, perform maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, UPS, and other maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish stock procedures and control stock levels

• Survey areas as needed to ensure all existing ports are utilized and reclaim unused ones

• Act in superior absence during vacation/illness

• Diagnose & repair engine related problems (https://i.e., tune-ups, transmissions, electronics, etc.)

• Enforce the proper EPA disposal requirements of pollutants/chemicals

• Enforce Federal, State, and OSHA regulations/guidelines for compliance and licensing

• Diagnose/repair and communicate to dealerships vehicle mechanical/electrical systems covered/not covered under existing manufacturer s warranty

• Operation of computerized/automated systems (https://i.e., Johnson Control and Andover systems)

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform corrective action

• Install wire/cable for telephone and computers

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • 5+ years of related experience  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Possible Certification of completion qualifications

  • Trade apprentice/journeyman program

  • Military technical training program

  • State electric certification

  • Stationary engineering license

  • State Electric Certification (Preferred)

  • Stationary Engineering License (Preferred)

Functional Skills:

  • Advanced working knowledge of internal combustion engine
  • Advanced working knowledge of computer operation and computer programming including building automation system
  • Advanced working skill/ability on chillers, boilers, diagnostics, generators, construction method
  • Ability to train fellow employees
  • All shifts currently available. Hours of employment are either on 1st shift 7am to 3:30pm, 2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm or 3rd shift from 11:00PM - 7:30AM at our Hudson, OH data center, with occasional weekend shift and holidays. Training is a combination of 1st and 2nd shift for 2 - 3 months. 2nd shift has a 10% differential and 3rd shift has a 15% differential.

Compensation offered for this role is $42,https://500.00-$78,https://875.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
