Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to manage and mitigate operational risks within the claims department.

• Design and implement operational controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Analyze current claims processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Ensure all claims processes comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Utilize data analytics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational controls and identify trends or anomalies.

• Prepare and present reports on operational control performance, risk assessments, and compliance status to senior management.

• Provide training and support to claims staff on operational controls and compliance procedures.

• Work closely with other departments, including IT, Legal, and Finance, to ensure integrated and effective operational controls.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Accounting, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.

• Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIP , CPA, CISA, CIA, CRMA) are a plus.

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience in audit and/or risk management , operational risk/controls, or compliance within the financial services industry (Preferred)

• Previous experience in big 4 auditing firms is a plus
