    Position summary

    and process designs and configures vendor software for new or existing complex enterprise-wide and business-unit applications and maintenance efforts. The Lead Engineer is also aware of vendor feature roadmaps and understands how to navigate support processes and developer groups to gain insight and influence future direction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Help design, implement, and optimize Akamai configurations for web applications.

    • When necessary, conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

    • Collaborate with clients to assess their requirements and provide strategic consulting on Akamai services.

    • Monitor traffic and performance metrics using Akamai tools and dashboards.

    • Develop and deliver training materials and documentation for clients and internal teams.

    • Stay updated on Akamai products, industry trends, and best practices.

    • Provide support for incident resolution and root cause analysis.

    • Assist in the integration of Akamai solutions with other technologies and platforms, including delivering services to optimize onboarding and updates.

    Job Qualifications

    • 5+ years' e ngineering (full stack) experience

    • Experience with Java/J2EE, web application development and API design

    • 2+ years' working with and supporting CDN technologies (ideally Akamai solutions)

    • Strong proficiency in Akamai CDN configuration and administration and understanding of core networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/s, proxy, load-balancing, etc.)

    • Previous experience monitoring Akamai services for performance and availability using Akamai Control Center and other monitoring tools and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Akamai configurations and performance

    • Advance experience on Splunk, Datadog or other SIEM (security information and event management) Monitoring

    • Experience in integrating websites and implementing CDN technologies (performance, security, reliability, scalability)

    • Collaboration skills for example collaborating with the security team to implement and maintain security policies

    • Experience working with Rest APIs and Java development (CI/CD) within an application security context

    • Experience with API tools like Postman/Rest APIs and API acceleration/Caching patterns.

    • Strong experience in building APIs and Microservices

    • Proven ability to manage activities with limited guidance

    • Effective communications, interpersonal, and team building skills

    Compensation
    Compensation offered for this role is $112,000.00 - 196,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
    The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
