Director, Professional Services - International

ons, and implementation of data-driven solutions for our on-premise and cloud-based customers in EMEA & APJC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics technologies along with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams, delivering profitable growth, and a passion for driving customer satisfaction. The role will report to the Vice President, Professional Services in the Customer Experience organization at Alteryx.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professional services consultants, solution architects, and technical experts located in dispersed geographic locations.
• Develop a high-performance culture that emphasizes client success, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Attract and retain top talent to build a high-performing consulting team, and be the international voice of the leadership team.

Project Delivery & Strategy:
• Drive the successful delivery of complex projects, including cloud and on-premise software implementations, data migrations, and integrations for data analytics solutions, including ensuring efficient project execution.
• Work closely with customers to understand their business needs, define technical requirements, and ensure the solution meets or exceeds expectations delivering high-quality customer outcomes.
• Work closely with the Go-To-Market, Product Management, Finance, and other teams to convert the customer solution needs best in class services offerings for our international customers.

Customer Relationships & Account Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations, positioning Alteryx as a trusted advisor, and contributing to account growth by identifying opportunities for upselling and expanding services within existing customer accounts.
• Serve as a point of escalation for critical issues and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Cloud & On-Premise Expertise:
• Provide deep expertise in both on-premise and cloud software environments, with a particular focus on data analytics solutions (e.g., Big Data platforms, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, etc.) offering strategic guidance on best practices for customers.
• Drive cloud migration strategies and help clients transition their data environments from on-premise systems to cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Advocate with Sales, Sales Engineering, Product, Engineering, Customer Support, and Customer Success teams to ensure the alignment of professional services delivery with overall company goals to drive success in pre and post sales engagements.
• Drive feedback to product & engineering teams based on client requirements, industry trends, and field experiences to shape future product development.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, or project management, with a focus on SaaS, Cloud migrations, software implementations and data analytics solutions.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, managing large global teams in the EMEA & APJ regions and overseeing delivery of complex software projects (including cloud and on-premise environments).
• Strong experience with data migration strategies, including transitioning from on-premise to cloud environments.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience implementing data analytics solutions in these environments.
• Expertise in data analytics technologies such as data lakes, data warehouses, ETL processes, business intelligence tools, and reporting platforms.
• Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects with cross-functional teams and multi-national client relationships.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels within a client organization.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• PMP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

• Willingness to travel.

Required Skills:
• Familiarity with popular data analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, etc.) including Gen AI.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes for cloud-based data solutions.
