About Alteryx Advanced Analytics Organization 

The Alteryx Advanced Analytics organization has grown out of the acquisition of the MIT-spinoff Feature Labs. Our team owns Alteryx Advanced Analytics products including Alteryx Promote, Alteryx Intelligence Suite, and Alteryx Machine Learning, and combines the excitement of a fast-paced, innovative startup with the resources, market penetration, and wisdom of a data analytics market leader. Our goal is to turbo-charge analytics efforts of the Alteryx Platform and enable anyone to solve dynamic problems. Overview 

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to be the hands-on technical lead of the Intelligence Suite engineering team. In this role, you will be partnering closely with Engineering, Product and Data Science leadership teams to build and deliver best in breed advanced Analytics and AI capabilities into our Desktop Designer and Cloud Products. This is a high visibility role within Alteryx as we build towards a cohesive strategy of next generation advanced analytics capabilities within our Alteryx Platform. We are a startup-oriented organization, and the best candidates will bring a very iterative and resourceful mindset to the table. 

Responsibilities 

• Become the hands-on technical leader of the Intelligence Suite team 

• Make sustainable technical and architectural decisions for the team 

• Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to fellow engineers 

• Designer, develop, and deploy advanced analytics applications using React and Python into both Desktop and Cloud products 

• Work directly with Product and Design leaders to drive a first-class user experience for our customers 

• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Leadership on the product roadmap while owning the technical portion of it 

• Leverage feedback loops to continually iterate and improve on your team’s outputs over time 

Requirements 

• 5+ years experience in Python 

• 3+ years working in front end development, React/Redux preferred 

• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and shipping products to market as well as continued maintenance and support (full SDLC) 

• Experience in mentoring and growing the skills of other engineers on the team 

• Experience with database products such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB 

• Experience with automated CI/CD platforms such as CircleCI, Gitlab, etc. 

• Strong experience in cloud and docker based infrastructure and architecture 

Bonus 

• AI and Machine Learning experience (if you don’t have a lot, we’ll teach you) 

• Security and compliance work such as SOC2/HIPAA/GDPR/etc. 

• Experience in both Multi and Single tenant deployments 

• Experience designing interfaces that meet the highest I18N and Accessibility requirements 

• Open source contribution history 

Compensation

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Boston is $140,400 - $238,700. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. 

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
