    Overview

    The SMB Account Executive will be responsible for building and driving business in the SMB and Commercial sector with and through our portfolio of partners. This is a quota carrying position requiring successful experience selling with and through a channel partner (reseller), and experience with technology or data solutions. This role has an annual revenue goal and is expected to develop partners’ sales skills and success and help them understand the Alteryx platform. The SMB Account Executive will work closely with the Partner Account Managers in A/NZ, and will collaborate across functions with internal resources, and leverage platforms such as Salesforce.com to manage the business

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the A/NZ territory for the Alteryx SMB and Commercial sector focused on driving incremental Alteryx revenue through our portfolio of Partners.
    • Develop assigned partners generating new business in existing and new accounts.
    • Create strong working relationships with partners at all levels including executive, sales, marketing, and operations.
    • Train and enable key partners leveraging Alteryx sales playbooks and campaigns within the SMB/Commercial sector.
    • Work with partners developing demand generation programs and campaigns building sufficient pipeline to achieve assign sales targets.
    • Engage with partners to enhance value and co-selling assistance to their prospects.
    • Support and mentor partners’ sales activities, including direct sales support on prospect calls, required quoting motions, managing Deal Registrations, and conducting regular pipeline meetings and forecast reviews.
    • Ensure all opportunities are accurately represented using sales planning tools.
    • Be an expert in the policies and structure of the Alteryx Partner Program as well as understand the resources available to partners such as training and events for partners.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the capabilities of our different partners and leverage them to expand sales into the SMB/Commercial sector.
    • Work closely with the Partner Account Managers to align SMB/Commercial goals with the broader GTM planning, strategy and messaging.

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years’ experience in either Direct Sales or Channel Sales ideally with an enterprise software company and/or data/analytics software vendor.
    • Ability to develop scalable Channel partner relationships.
    • Experience selling into the SMB/Commercial sector with a high deal count and velocity.
    • Ability to skillfully negotiate both internally and externally.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively present to all levels of management.
    • Ability to coach and mentor the sales teams within assigned partners.
    • Expertise with sales planning and pipeline management tools like Salesforce, Clari, etc.
    • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and prospects at senior executive level, across legal, finance, support, sales, and marketing functions.
    • High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business.
    • Excellent planning and time management skills.
