    R30223 Building Maintenance Technician (Open)

    Compensation Minimum:$23 HourCompensation Maximum:$26.94 Hour

    Summary:

    Job Family Summary Ensures the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities. Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs. Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance. Job Summary This position leads the work of others responsible for the assembly, installation and repair of furniture, equipment and systems furniture presently owned by the company. It also works with and supports the trade functions such as carpenter and interior maintenance.

    Job Description:

    Level Summary

    • Requires skills developed through formal training or work experience.
    • Works within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify approach.
    • Completes assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision.

    Primary Accountabilities

    • Lead Furniture installing activities.
    • Supports interior/exterior maintenance with major projects and job tasks, along with performing basic repairs, replacement and scheduled maintenance to interior and exterior building components.
    • Preforms all aspects of furniture maintenance including parts inventory, preforming and recording preventative maintenance, repairs and adjustments.
    • Aid during special events.
    • Directs and leads others in the repair of non-computer related equipment.
    • Preform site duties, lawn mowing, snow removal, tree pruning, and general site work as needed.

    Physical Demands

    • This position requires the ability to work with close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) for extended periods of time.
    • This position requires the ability to lift over 100 pounds between 1 and 33% of the time.
    • This position requires the ability to sit between 1 and 33% of the time.
    • This position requires the ability to stand between 1 and 33% of the time.
    • This position requires the ability to stand, walk and/or sit between 66 and 100% of the time.
    • This position requires the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl between 1 and 33% of the time.
    • This position requires the ability to walk between 1 and 33% of the time.

    Working Conditions

    • This position requires the ability to work with exposure to electrical shock between 1 and 33% of the time.

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements

    • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
    • Ability to read schematics and plans.
    • Prior experience in a team leadership role.
    • Requires 2 years working experience within the utility maintenance environment (landscape, housekeeping, furniture installation).
    • Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.
