Job Description
Step into an instrumental role with a Franchise Advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial, focused on helping individuals navigate various life transitions and retire confidently. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced, friendly financial planning office and assist in daily business operations.
This position complements or completes tasks previously performed by the advisors, allowing the advisors to focus more time and energy on client-facing activities including client acquisition and deepening existing client relationships. The administrative/planning assistant supports the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of this team practice. The administrative assistant allows the franchise advisor the assurance to know the practice is being maintained and supported within Ameriprise Financial guidelines.
This role provides administrative support by coordinating with clients, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, preparing client communications, and tracking new business correspondence. This role is responsible for responding to ad hoc requests, assist in the coordination or tracking of service opportunities, and/or managing business-as-usual projects such as filing, copying, scanning, trouble-shooting service issues, and/or organizing the logistics of an exceptional client service model.
Job Type: Full Time (35 Hours per week; Monday to Friday – 8:30 am to 3:30 pm)
Starting Hourly Pay: From $18-$20/Hour

Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Time Allocation – Will change over time to meet the growing needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
50%-Administrative and Planning Assistance
50%-Client Care
Greet clients upon arrival and extend hospitality to clients
Assist in establishing and maintaining effective client relationship management with appropriate data entry (e.g., proactive contacts with clients and meeting scheduling)
Write notes or letters to clients on personal letterhead of an administrative nature only and administer client appreciation (e.g., welcome letters, birthday, congratulations, sympathy cards)
Document client contacts/calls
Track prospecting, client special events, and make appropriate contact per established client service contact model
Required Qualifications

Education and Requirements:
High School Diploma (Required)
3+ years of similar work experience
Must be able to pass an FBI background check/fingerprinting
