    Job Description

    Pariso & Associates, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to join our team. This position offers sizeable growth opportunities and compensation for the right candidate.
    The associate financial advisor will assist financial advisors in working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. The employing franchise owners will lead you as you hone your skills. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.

    Salary:
    $50,000 - $125,000 with additional upside potential

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and Time Allocation – Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor

    Responsibilities:

    Marketing and Client Acquisition

    • Develop and implement annual marketing plan to meet client acquisition goals
    • Implement key marketing activities including:
    • Advisor website, social media, online client experience, client and prospect contact, seminars, and events

    Financial Planning Advice & Product Solutions

    • Prepare for client meetings focused on planning discussions
    • Gather and enter client data into Financial Planning Tool Suite and perform case analysis
    • Participate in and/or conduct client meetings to present recommendations/deliver advice
    • Answer questions and provide information to clients as it relates to servicing their accounts
    • Assess the client’s goals and time frame
    • Prepare financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions for advisor review and use in client meetings
    • Run illustrations and hypotheticals
    • Persuade clients to act upon suitable advice/recommendations
    • Execute appropriate trades to align with proposed portfolio
    • Monitor economy, markets, and world events to determine any required strategic rebalancing
    • Conduct transactions on behalf of clients

    Business Management & Client Care

    • Review work methods and procedures for possible quality improvements and efficiencies and implement them when appropriate
    • Assign and delegate work and provide feedback, when appropriate, to other practice support staff
    • Participate in weekly staff meetings
    • Set up and maintain client management system (i.e. Salesforce)
    • Manage phone and email communication
    • Maintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policy

    Key traits of a successful associate financial advisor

    • Independent and confident self-starter who can work well with minimum supervision

    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks/projects with competing deadlines and priorities

    • Excellent professional development skills such as teamwork and collaboration, work planning, time management and prioritization

    • Direct attention to detail and organization

    • Effective communication with clients and other advisors/staff

    • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise Financial

    • Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow.

    Required Qualifications

    • College degree or higher

    • 2+ years of similar experience or a college degree in financial planning

    • Already have or be able to study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident, and health insurance licenses
