We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Marketing Manager at Ameriprise! We are seeking someone experienced to join our talented team of consumer content marketers and make a significant impact as a leader of firm-delivered marketing in the social media space.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal business partners and external agency partners, to curate, develop and implement paid and organic content strategies for our client and prospect audiences.
The ideal candidate will be results-driven with a focus on efficient reach and engagement, and passionate about learning, testing, analyzing and optimizing the consumer digital experience to meet business objectives and goals. You should also be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work independently and with ambiguity while managing multiple projects, and an excellent communicator and collaborator who can easily build and manage positive working relationships with business partners across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive the social media content strategy and execution in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Lead the development of content for corporate social media. Ensure content conveys the brand and voice of the organization and meets best practices, capabilities and expectations for social channels.
• Support exploration and strategic expansion of social media programs to meet business objectives. Present your ideas and work to leaders and business partners to gain alignment.
• Ensure high-quality, creative execution by leading or contributing to projects that impact the visual design of social channels and other digital properties. This includes full-length videos and video teasers/posts, social media posts (carousels, slideshows, static posts etc), and other digital assets, as needed.
• Monitor social media trends and competitor activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media content development and management.
• Understanding of social media performance metrics and how to use them in making content strategy decisions
• Demonstrated ability to meet compressed deadlines and timeframes.
• Experience in a collaborative work environment to build digital content.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with social media tools and platforms. (e.g. Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Khoros, Hearsay, etc.).
• Familiarity with content management and project collaboration systems. (e.g. Jira, Smartsheet, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, English/Journalism or a related field; or shown experience in financial services industry or similarly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with wealth management and asset management, Ameriprise target audiences including affluent segments, and competitor activities.
