    Information Systems Sr. Manager for Amgen North Carolina
    What you will do

In this vital role you will own Digital Technology and Innovation services by delivering high quality, robust and reliable operational supporting the business and daily operations. Partnering with key business stakeholders, this role will have end-to-end accountability for technology services, in terms of project delivery and day to day support to our operations. This role will ensure comprehensive alignment with the business needs and finding optimized ways to deliver efficiency and quality services for our partners.

    This role of Senior Manager, Digital Technology and Innovation for ANC reports directly to the ANC Digital, Technology and Innovation Director. In this role, the Sr. Manager has responsibility for leading the services and help drive efficiency through the company using technology to unlock opportunities to stop, optimize processes and then automate as appropriate. The role will be a member of the site DTI leadership team.
    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the deployment of various digital platform projects, ensuring effective portfolio planning, resource allocation, risk management, and financial oversight.
    • Oversee and maintain department shared services, including end user support, audiovisual services, infrastructure, operational excellence, and project management.
    • Serve as the primary DTI contact for site-level services, global projects, and upgrades.
    • Develop robust support models to meet site operation's needs, including managing contracts with vendors or third parties and ensuring all parties understand their responsibilities.
    • Create detailed project plans, including statements of work, scope, resources, requirements, timelines, and tracking/reporting for each assigned project.
    • Lead cross-organizational project teams, facilitate meetings, and present to senior management.
    • Develop, communicate, and implement solutions and measurements to achieve efficiency, quality, and client goals.
    • Anticipate, evaluate, and resolve multiple, simultaneous project issues, delays, and problems using project management and business expertise.
    • Define, measure, and improve team and system performance based on tangible metrics.
    • Manage projects and implement operational excellence strategies within the DTI organization.
    • Mentor other employees and develop best project management practices as a subject matter expert.
    • Stay updated on industry and technology trends and build external networks to gain valuable insights from peers in the industry.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience
    Or

    Master's degree and 6 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience
    Or

    Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience
    Or

    Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience
    Or

    High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to translate Operations' aspirations for using data and advanced analytics into the reality of detailed actions in the laboratory, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, and DTI organizations.

    • Strategic Thinking: Anticipates downstream consequences and tailors influencing strategies to achieve positive outcomes.

    The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
