    Position summary

    A sensitive, agile negotiator who can balance assertiveness with diplomacy, communicates forcefully yet tactfully, and takes the different sensitivities and management cultures into account while being aware of the various regulatory and compliance constraints and systems, ultimately serving the interests of the company as a whole.

    Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for contributing to and defining the sites compliance strategy to support the business using a risk-based approach to assess business impact.

    • Serve as a member of the Countries Management Teams and local Data Privacy.

    • Act as a key contact for regional Healthcare Compliance, providing strategic advice within the sites.

    • Represent the sites within World Compliance and Business Ethics.

    • Understand compliance and business drivers, goals and strategies, advocating for compliance within the business.

    • Coordinate and implement (within the sites) Amgen’s Corporate Compliance Programs and policies and International compliance standards and procedures.

    • Interact with and optimally influence all levels of staff in the sites to accomplish compliance initiatives and goals.

    • Drive and coordinate risk assessments, self reviews and participate in assurance and investigation activities.

    • Coordinate (and in coordination with relevant functions) corrective action implementation.

    • Balance physical presence with affiliate according to regional and sites priorities.

    • May serve as a line manager.

    Outputs

    • Interpretation/advice on Amgen’s Healthcare Compliance program and processes.

    • Healthcare Compliance communication and training materials.

    • Delivery of healthcare compliance training.

    • Risk assessments.

    • Compliance Engagement Plans.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience similar position Or

    • Master’s degree and 4 years of experience similar position Or

    • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience similar position Or

    • Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience similar position Or

    • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience similar position.

    • Proficiency in English and Spanish, both in written and verbal communication.

    Experience & Knowledge:

    • Solid experience in Compliance in pharma/ biotech business.

    • Subject matter expertise in applicable laws and regulations (for example: Local Anticorruption law and local trade association Code of Conduct)

    • Performing healthcare compliance related documentation reviews.

    • Risk management & analysis

    • Compliance program efficiency assessment

    • Policies & procedures development and implementation

    • Training, education & mentor

    • Working with cross-functional teams

    • Oral and written communication skills with various hierarchical levels within the company

    • Skills in influencing without authority.

    • Logical and objective reasoning

    • Managing multiple tasks simultaneously

    • Adaptability

    • Strong ability to manage complex problems.
