ABOUT THE ROLE

The Anduril Imaging team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. We are seeking a Python-focused software engineer to develop the software for automated checkout and real-time analysis of our novel infrared sensor systems. This will involve real-time imagery and metadata analysis, technician-level user interfaces, and a data archiving process.

You will be responsible for identifying issues with sensors going through the production pipeline, alerting appropriate personnel, and finding patterns in the failure cases to help understand why the failures are happening. You will be working with a fast-paced, dynamic team of software and hardware engineers working to refine and broaden the reach of highly capable infrared sensors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop test automation for production sensor checkout
• Architect, design, and implement software applications, infrastructure, and tools, while ensuring high quality and performance
• Partner with stakeholders across production, hardware, algorithms, and operations teams to gather requirements and iterate on systems design and implementation
• Execute projects end to end by creating high-quality, reliable, and well-tested software to interface with sensors and other hardware test equipment
• Create re-usable software and systems to accelerate software and sensor development
• Maintain high standards and best practices by participating in reviews, designing for operational excellence and fault tolerance, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement
• Assist with code reviews and provide detailed constructive feedback

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or similar
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, performs well with autonomy, and is hungry to learn and build new skills
• A problem solver who can think critically in high pressure environments
• Ability to take large amounts of data and translate information into actionable insights
• A team player who enjoys collaborating and working cross-functionally across departments
• Highly effective written and verbal communicator with other engineers and non-engineers
• Solid software development experience in at least one of three: Python, Matlab, C++
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance
