    Summary / Role Purpose

    Ansys is seeking a senior 3D Rendering software engineer to join its Valbonne-based physic-based real-time rendering R&D team within the AVX product. Our AVX product performs a wide range of roles, such as visualizing simulations, displaying massive datasets, renders physics-correct frame/images, simulate physics-correct sensors (Camera, Lidar, Radar), etc. We are currently transitioning from OpenGL to Vulkan to take advantage of its power and allow us to integrate new complex features. As a member of the real-time rendering team, he will be working in an outstanding environment and outstanding individuals. Moreover, he will be working on challenging and advanced technology subjects and will also actively contribute to the transition to Vulkan in the new engine.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    As a senior software engineer, his responsibilities involve the following:

    • Develop quality code on our new rendering engine in Vulkan.
    • Develop, maintain, and support our existing real-time rendering engine.
    • Developing GPUs shaders for real-time physics simulation of sensors.
    • Conducts regular state-of-the-art studies on (advanced) rendering algorithm, data structure, architecture (scene graph, ECS, SOLID principal), topics related to optical and electromagnetic model integrated to sensor simulation (camera).
    •  Develops prototypes and PoCs of theoretical models before their industrialization.
    • Transmits knowledge, know-how, and models to the teams.
    • Participates as an expert in internal research projects such as "Sensors".
    • Writes white-papers and participates in dedicated ADAS conferences as speaker or listener.
    • Supervise thesis / internships related to his areas of expertise.
    • Implements digital simulation tools and virtual reality platforms.

    Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

    • Graduated from an engineering school, master 2 or equivalent degree
    • Candidate should have significant experience of 5 to 10 years in C/C++/C# development under Windows with Visual Studio and Linux.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills

    • Candidate should have a strong knowledge of GPU Programming (SLang, GLSL, Cuda)
    • Candidate should have a strong knowledge of Rendering algorithm using OpenGL, Vulkan.
    • Knowledge of optical and electromagnetic physics is a plus.
    • Technical skills: C/C++/C#, OpenGL, Vulkan API, GPU programming, GPU rendering, real-time rendering.
    • Platform: Windows with Visual Studio and Linux
    • Fluent in English
