    SUMMARY/ ROLE PURPOSE

    The Global Deal Desk Specialist II’s function will be to provide support services to the Global Deal Desk team in the execution of multi-year agreements and sales orders.  The Global Deal Desk Specialist II will be a subject-matter expert on current global price books, the architecture of multi-year deals, royalties, products, and usage reporting.  They will provide guidance and strategy to the Sales Department for multi-year deals, provide support with commercial and legal documentation, and complete overall order preparation in order to achieve all Ansys objectives.  The Global Deal Desk Specialist II will serve as a key member of the Global Deal Desk Team within the Operations and Strategy group.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Gate-Keeper/quarterback of deals & ownership of the deal process end to end - this person will ensure all approvals are in place and that we are signing clean deals
    • Provide deal structure guidance and creative solutions by fully understanding various licensing models, deal structures, and pricing to support to the sales organization while maintaining internal pricing standards
    • Partners with Development and Licensing teams to assist in adapting and improving current license usage reporting tools.
    • Works in collaboration with Pricing and Finance for the most current list of products and third-party royalties.
    • Assists with multi-year agreement product offerings and will be a subject-matter expert on current price books.
    • Initiates and executes training sessions and discussions, as needed, with the Sales Organization for multi-year deals.
    • Works closely with the Global Deal Desk Director in providing revenue, ACV, and booking information for each Deal Desk agreement and will be a subject-matter expert on revenue recognition and order processing.
    • Collaborates with internal stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Sales Operations Order Processing, and Business Operations teams in optimizing and streamlining customer-facing documentation.
    • Provides general support and responds to inquiries from the Sales Organization around multi-year agreement activities and reporting.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Education & Years of Experience: Associate degree in business or accounting (two year program) or a minimum of 3 years of experience demonstrated success supporting sales teams in a corporate setting.  The ability to understand the strategic direction and goals of the Sales Department and support appropriate processes to achieve business objectives
    • Must have knowledge of software revenue recognition policies
    • Must have minimum of 3 years interacting with Field Sales
    • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and recommended solutions to all levels of the sales organization
    • Proven excellence multi-tasking, prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines and goals
    • A result and success-oriented mentality, converying a sense of urgency and driving agreements to closure
    • Comfort with adapting and adjusting to multiple demads, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
    • Proven successful track record in handling confidential information
    • Extensive working knowledge of database/CRM systems

    • Advanced knowledge of the company’s products, policies and business processes is a plus
