    Summary / Role Purpose

    A successful candidate in this role will be contributing to the development of highly scalable low and high frequency electromagnetic solvers based on integral equation methods targeted for signal/power integrity and power electronics applications, antenna design and radar applications. The candidate will be working closely with other R&D developers, product engineering, and application engineers to design, develop and deliver advanced and highly parallelizable technologies in electromagnetic simulation. A successful candidate will have a proven track record in computational electromagnetics, especially in integral equation methods.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Leads and coordinates research and development of fast high and low frequency integral equation algorithms capable of running on high performance shared and distributed memory systems.

    • Implementing numerical and software features in C++ on time and with upmost quality.
    • Maintaining and supporting current code base. Working together with other teams to ensure integration between products.
    • Understand, employ, and maintain best software practices through design and code review, testing, and validation.

    Minimum Requirements and Experience

    • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience, or a MS degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
    • Familiarity with electrical modeling and simulation, specifically with integral equation methods and its implementation aspects for electromagnetic applications. 
    • Significant experience in scientific programming in C/C++ and excellent software development skills.  
    • Knowledge of parallel and distributed systems (threads, message passing and hybrid systems). Prior experience with OpenMP, MPI, or multi-threading is preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills

    • PhD degree is preferred
    • Extensive knowledge of power/signal integrity, power electronics or antenna design is highly desired.
    • Understanding of basic circuit theory concepts.
    • Experience in heterogeneous development environments (Windows & LINUX).
    • Familiarity with performance analysis (scalability, network and I/O optimization and parallel I/O, etc.) is a plus.
    • Self-motivated individual with ability to pick new projects and technology development effort from scratch
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
