    SUMMARY

    The R&D Engineer will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that is responsible to enhance software architecture for modularization and componentization of code associated to Mechanical flagship product. The successful candidate will work with a network of expert professionals to rapidly research, integrate, and extend state-of-the-art simulation features using advanced computer programming and algorithms.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Enhance software architecture using advanced computer algorithms for modularization and componentization of the Mechanical code

    • Develop new features using object oriented programming language in state-of-the-art Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software application based on the Finite Element Method (FEA)

    • Engages a network of expert professionals to collaborate and accomplish development objectives 

    • Investigate defects in production code.

    • Develop unit tests for the developed features.

    • Analyze results and improve the usability of the software.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • BS in Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace or related engineering field  

    • Experience with C++ and object-oriented software concepts 

    • Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript or equivalent 

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • MS preferred

    • Experience in using Microsoft Visual Studio and Software Configuration management tools (SVN, GIT) 

    • Experience with C#

    • Knowledge of agile development methodologies 

    • Knowledge of software design patterns and test-driven development

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (.NET Framework, COM, ATL)

    • Understanding network programming, REST API, and/or GRPC.

    • Experience with Linux Operating System

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
