    SUMMARY

    ANSYS, Inc. seeks Senior Technical Support Engineer to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support customers in all aspects of installation, configuration, and deployment of Ansys software into their design workflows.
    • Use advanced-level computer systems knowledge to provide technical post-sales support, find solutions to a wide variety of technical challenges, channel customer feedback to improve Ansys products, and grow Ansys’ business.
    • Adhere to support processes to ensure high-quality, timely customer service that results in customer satisfaction.
    • Develop technical subject matter expertise in configuring software in one or more simulation areas.
    • Submit suggestions for product improvement.
    • File defect reports and verify fixes adhering to defect reporting processes.
    • Participate in field testing of new releases to ensure that new features and workflows will address customer requirements.
    • Provide support to Sales and Marketing teams as needed by conducting demonstrations, webinars, online training, and other meetings.
    • Participate in other strategic team and company initiatives.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or a related field of study, and three (3) years of experience in a related position.
    • Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or a related field of study, and five (5) years of experience in a related position.
    • Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
      • experience supporting Linux or Windows-based computer systems;
      • experience with license-controlled software;
      • experience deploying and administering an HPC system using Cluster Job Management Systems;
      • knowledge of cloud-based environments; and
      • experience with programming and scripting using VBScript, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Fortran90 or MS Batch.
