The Meshing Development Unit (MDU) is seeking an Intern for participating in the development of machine learning (ML) bassed algorithm for engineering geometry models. This work requires strong interest in ML and in at least one of the following areas: mesh generation, ML for geometry problems, computational geometry, numerical methods and software development. Of special interest is machine learning applied to simulation model creation and management. Geometry is at the core and it is expected the work will be centered around ML for 3D data, but there are other poissibilities like generating code based on natural languiage specifications. The background and the interest of the successful applicant will be considered for the work assignment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement algorithms
Work efficiently in a complex mixed language code base, written in Python, C/C++, on Windows and Linux.
Participate in and collaborate with other development, documentation, and testing professionals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a MSc degree in Mechanical, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Graphics or related engineering field.
Currently enrolled in a French full-time degree program.
Knowledge of ML for geometric representations, mesh generation, computational geometry or computer graphics algorithms.
Experience with C/C++, MATLAB, and/or Python.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of ML as applied to 3D geometry problems
Interest in programming and data structures.
Prior experience of large scale software development.
