Tax Accountant - REMOTE

SUMMARY
The Tax Accountant will assist in various aspects of tax including tax provisioning, compliance, and audit. The main responsibilities will be to prepare and assist with federal, state and foreign provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740, to assist in the compilation of information for federal and state income tax compliance preparation completed by a third-party service provider, to assist in the payment of quarterly tax estimates, and to assist with notices and audits related to domestic compliance. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and assist with the quarterly and annual income tax provisions of domestic and/or foreign affiliates
• Assist in the compilation of support requested for domestic compliance activities and coordinate its completion by third-party service providers
• Assist in payments required for quarterly tax estimates.
• Assist with federal and state income tax compliance, notices and/or audits

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in Public Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in corporate taxation
• Proficiency with ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP
• Strong technical and comprehensive knowledge of Internal Revenue Code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have strong organization skills and demonstrate an attention to detail
• Must show ability to multi-task and work well independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Public accounting, Big 4 experience preferred
• CPA certification preferred
• Experience in a multinational corporate tax department a plus
