    Position summary

    be responsible for designing installations, displays and environments for Apple in retail settings.

    Description

    As an Art Director for the 3DVM team you will develop and improve designs through an iterative process. We create deliverables on projects that span between the digital and physical, including architecture, interior/ industrial/experience design, and content creative direction. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Design and Art Direct for integrated experiences across a range of touch-points. Work closely and collaboratively with our internal 3DVM team of designers to complete project briefs and assigned tasks. Work closely with cross-functional teams: interactive, motion design, retail tech, industrial design, product development/engineering and 3D production teams. Produce design development and/or intent packages for production and fabrication. Regularly review creative work with the team's senior creative leaders to get feedback on direction and ensure alignment with other activities in the group, presenting ideas as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 7+ years of design or related experience

    • Must share a portfolio of work

    • Degree or equivalent experience in either Architecture, Interior Architecture, Experience Design, Furniture Design, Industrial Design or similar field

    • Experience with 3D modeling and visualization software on Mac OS platforms and Adobe Creative Suite

    • Experience crafting and developing experiences for retail, commercial, and/or exhibition environments

    Preferred Qualifications

    • You have the ability to approach design problems with creativity and passion

    • Excellent design skills and extraordinary eye for detail

    • Knowledgeable in manufacturing and prototyping process, general construction, and/or engineering principles

    • Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner

    • Adept at time management and organization and able to work within tight timeframes

    • Experience with a variety of 3D softwares such as Rhino, Cinema 4D and/or Keyshot)

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,100 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
