    Position summary

    containing sports and related IP, identify rights and compliance issues, and provide strategic options to creative teams. - Seek and secure the appropriate content permissions/copyright and trademark licenses with relevant rights holders for use in Apple's marketing and advertising. - Facilitate communication between multiple stakeholders internally (Services, Product Marketing, Interactive, Retail, Channel, Events, Social, Video, Brand, Legal, Production, PR) and externally (sports brands, professional sports teams and leagues, talent agents and lawyers, associations/unions, agencies). - Draw conclusions from working knowledge of issues and risks that impact the area of content clearance for Sports - including copyright and trademark law, union/guild issues, and rules and restrictions surrounding leagues, conferences, teams, and players - as they pertain to marketing/advertising. - Guide the work of Business Affairs contractors working on sports-related marketing projects. - Some non-standard work hours and travel may be required

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 10+ years of relevant experience on a business affairs or content licensing team, at a creative agency, sports league, or sports-focused brand.

    • Experience negotiating rights, analyzing risk, and developing process regarding business affairs contracts and licenses.

    • Bachelor's Degree.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Deep subject matter expertise and practical experience addressing complexities and nuances of sports content licensing/clearances for marketing and advertising use.

    • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects.

    • Demonstrated skills in core areas: concise and clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, analysis, innovative approach to problem-solving.

    • Ability to exercise sound strategic, legal, and business judgment in challenging situations.

    • Proactive approach, flexibility, and inclusive leadership skills.

    • Track record of achieving great results by cultivating relationships, collaborating with teammates, and effectively communicating with cross-functional partners.

    • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent experience.

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,100 and $255,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
