    Description

    Core Technology Quality Engineers are responsible for driving quality improvement actions on future products. They enable a mass production capable manufacturing processes and develop plans to validate / verify new product quality at each development landmark. They approach problems in an engineering method and make data driven decision. Quality Engineers also bring up capable suppliers that can execute at a high level on an ongoing basis. - Identify and drive quality improvement opportunities in future products - Lead Process FMEAs on new technologies and manufacturing processes - Lead technical Failure Analysis to support root cause analysis and issue resolution - Generate Product Quality Plan (PQP) - Establish quality monitoring mechanism which generates insightful metrics, providing indication of outgoing quality at all nodes in supply chain - Develop/drive test correlation, metrology systems, sampling methods, cosmetics requirements, and more - Lead quality escalation and issues - Develop suppliers that can be both technology and scaling partners - International Travel is required (up to 25%)

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 8+ years experience in a technical domain, high volume manufacturing, or development of consumer electronics or components

    • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering or equivalent

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering or equivalent

    • Strong statistical and data analytics skills - statistical process control and sampling methods

    • Data driven and results oriented approach to problem solving, failure analysis techniques

    • Clear and consistent communication, including executive level presentation skills and ability to drive multi-functional teams

    • Knowledge of Quality Systems, Design of Experiments, Reliability Methods/Models

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,600 and $204,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
