    Position summary

    s visual marketing communications in Japan as a key member of the Marcom team. This role involves building and leading a diverse team of design professionals (graphic, motion, interactive, and production) to create impactful work for Apple customers throughout Japan. The Creative Director of Design fosters strong relationships with global creative teams in London and Cupertino, acting as a vital bridge to ensure brand consistency while championing the unique needs of the Japanese market. This position requires a proactive leader who embraces challenges, adapts to evolving regional needs, and can effectively balance creative origination with process development.","responsibilities":"Directly responsible for the creative vision and output across all design initiatives in Japan.     Drive concept development and deliver original work from ideation through to execution
    Review and provide feedback on all creative outputs, ensuring quality, originality, and brand alignment before final delivery
    Ensure that all creative from Worldwide is localized for the Japan market to Apple standards and making sure it resonates culturally
    Leadership of the design team. Mentor and grow design talent, providing inspiration, support, and development. Fostering a culture of innovation, and collaboration.
    Create a strong creative leadership, in partnership with the related design teams to deliver clear and concise feedback
    Build a solid network of freelancers, vendors and agencies to augment the team with when needed
    Build a strong network with the wider creative organization. Collaborating with senior creatives in London and Cupertino to understand best practices and scale initiatives accordingly

    Preferred Qualifications
    Understanding of digital, retail and channel communications in Japan
    Outstanding conceptual design with strong art direction sensibility and scalable design principles
    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey high-level concepts and business strategy to individuals and large groups
    Comfortable with ambiguous problems and proactively looks for ways to develop a clear direction
    In-depth knowledge of the creative process, including staffing, communication, and feedback
    Attention to detail
    Strategic and execution-level work within a matrix-ed organization
    A focused and resilient approach, with a talent for building positive relationships and working effectively across a cross-functional team
    Understanding of different perspectives and cultures, with ability to contribute to a work climate valuing and supporting differences

    Minimum Qualifications
    A Creative Leader with 10+ years of Industry experience in Design/Digital agencies or in-house marketing communications departments
    Experience in leading and mentoring designers and art directors through creative development
    Portfolio showcasing design principles, animation, art direction, typography, and visual communication
    Excellent written and spoken English skills for effective communication with international stakeholders
