Description
As a Data Engineer on the Retail Business Intelligence team, you will play a pivotal role in demonstrating your extensive understanding of data, including attributes, measures, and KPIs, to accurately measure and evaluate our business initiatives. Collaborating closely with peers and global multi-functional partners, you will be instrumental in addressing their data and reporting needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, building, testing, and deploying robust reporting solutions that empower our customers to make data-driven decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with IT teams to build critical data pipelines, ad hoc data analyses, troubleshooting data and supporting project teams during all stages of projects including, requirement gatherings, gap reviews, development and testing. Other responsibilities include: - Contributing to Business Initiatives: Participating in global cross functional projects, support unit integration, and system implementations/upgrades to ensure measurable impacts - Data Analytics and Reporting: Enhancing and troubleshooting web reports and analytical tools, assist in defining and building metrics, and perform ad hoc analyses - User Support: Engaging in consultation, training, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for analytical tools and data sets - Technical Proficiency: Participating in regular design and code reviews, debugging, and coding to resolve issues - Data Governance: Participating in data governance discussions and facilitate data harmonization conversations with global stakeholders - Maintain Data Knowledge: Maintaining the data dictionary for Retail Online
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of SQL experience with advanced-level proficiency
Experience with data induction, validation, normalization, maintaining data definitions, quality rules, lineage, and dictionaries
Fluent in English and Mandarin
BA/BS or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a minimum of 4 years directly relatable experience.
