The Test team is looking for depth module calibration & test engineer with responsibilities for the designing and bringing up the hardware and software that calibrates and tests the imaging components that go into Apple products. You will be involved with designing, implementing, debugging, and developing the methods to calibrate imaging systems and then the metrics to quantify their performance at factories around the world!
Description
Core responsibilities include: Develop new testers/critical optical component to meet design requirements for calibration and test. Develop and deploy software that calibrates and tests imaging systems. Analyze volume data to provide guidance on engineering decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
BS and a strong understanding of imaging systems/optics
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of camera technology
Experience in image processing or software development, programming experience with Matlab / C++ preferred.
Exceptional Mechanical/HW/SW problem solving and optimization skill
Self-motivated professional. Good team player w/ passion
Experience in lens characterization methodology and calibration is a plus
Experience on camera/depth sensing device/optical device test would be big plus

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
