The Display Technology team's main goals are to constantly push the envelope to design and ship innovative products with outstanding technologies and user experiences.

    Description

    You will be responsible for crafting and developing objective solutions for calibrating, characterizing, and testing display modules and components for Apple products. You will work on system design, development, validation, and production deployment during the engineering stage, with support from SW/HW cross-functional teams. - Develop industry-leading calibration and metrology methodology and solutions - Develop automation software and test sequences that control optical instruments, electronics driving boards, fixture controllers, and display modules. - Work with team to define calibration & measurement requirements - Conduct FA of measurement tools

    Minimum Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in Optics, Physics, Applied Science, or Engineering with 3 years of relevant industry experience.

    • Experience working in metrology of display (or related) products (OLED, LCD, LED) and/or viewing lens, with a strong passion and curiosity about this area

    • Experience in one or more of following areas: Display design, characterization, calibration or test, or AR/VR lens design, characterization, calibration or test, Common interfaces for optical instrument, such as CCD/CMOS camera, spectrophotometers, colorimeter etc, Color science, image processing and machine vision, or Experience with software engineering methodologies, processes, and tools

    • Programming skills in Python and/or Matlab

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced Degree ( Master's or Ph.D.) in related field

    • Experience developing metrology systems, or its sub-systems

    • Experience with software control of HW instrumentation

    • Strong problem solving skills; positive outlook and eagerness to step into uncharted technology spaces while being able to engineer solutions to meet project timelines

    • Ability to own areas of responsibility, being able to self-motivate and work independently

    • Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills

    • The position requires some international travel (up to 10%)

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
