Apple's Display Module Test Line Architect is a terrific position for someone passionate about display technology and manufacturing. You will be part of the Display Technology organization and collaborate with creative talents that build cutting-edge technologies and world-class products. Working with experts across a wide spectrum of disciplines, there are vast opportunities for you to contribute and innovate with engineering excellence and scientific rigor. With prior experience in integration with various key technologies, you will architect the best test strategy for display modules, including calibration and validation, to enable scalable manufacturing processes. Our main goal is to constantly push the envelope to design and bring innovative products with best-in-class technologies and user experiences to the world.

    Description

    You will be leading the design of the calibration and test flow of manufacturing line prototypes to enable mass-production of novel devices. With a strong technical background in metrology for consumer electronic products, you will: - interface with various teams across the display community to define test flow control and factory analytics infrastructures - be responsible for the overall metrology equipment bring-up, upgrade, troubleshooting, maintenance, and test line optimization - Lead the communication with instrument vendors, tester vendors (customized equipment and off-the-shelf tools) - Lead the communication with onsite support technicians for inline and offline test, characterization, and failure analysis

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with prior experience in technical presentations and leadership.

    • Bachelor or Master's with 10+ years of industry leadership experience in Engineering, Optics, Consumer Electronics Manufacturing, Automation, Metrology, and Test.

    • Engineering build leadership, ownership for factory calibration/test strategy, and bring-up working with multi-functional internal and external teams.

    • Knowledge or experience working with electronics manufacturing lines, data flow control, calibration of component modules, and test requirements.

    • Excellent understanding of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of complex systems.

    • Prior experience with integration of one or more of the following technologies: sensing, imaging, displays, electrical interconnect, and protocols.

    • Technical background in physics and engineering, capable of applying creativity, common sense, and technical skills to solve complex problems.

    • Be available for some international travel.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Understands FMEA and FA processes and has past experiences in root-cause investigations and recommendations of metrology design improvements.

    • Solid statistics knowledge and experience in data analysis.

    • Passionate about new technologies, especially in the area of displays.

    • Have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility, self-motivate, and work independently.

    • Experience developing metrology systems (or its sub-systems), and test methodologies.

    • Outstanding problem-solving ability.
