    Description

    Apple Cloud Infrastructure team, as part of the Apple Services Engineering team, is seeking an extraordinary engineering program manager (EPM) that can help our compute team deliver innovative product solutions that will shape the future of large scale infrastructure at Apple.

    We are building and supporting critical infrastructural systems and frameworks which provide and support services like Elastic compute, Container solutions like Kubernetes for Apple Cloud Infrastructure, which is the platform upon which many iCloud applications and other backend systems at Apple are built; they have huge scale. We're a fast paced organization with ambitious goals, a large user base, and the autonomy to build the future of Compute and Storage infrastructure for all of Apple. Teams across Apple rely on us for Compute and Storage infrastructure that help them build services that scale globally, are highly available, and "just work".     You'll partner with a diverse set of teams across Apple to provide them with groundbreaking infrastructure for Storage that operate at substantial scale and use open source technologies along with proprietary systems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Exceptional organizational, project management, and technical acumen.

    Prior engineering, infrastructure experience is a plus.

    Past experience with containers/storage would be a plus.

    SCRUM background and/or played the role of a Scrum Master is plus.

    Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.

    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills to represent at all levels of the organization.

    Ability to manage multiple simultaneous end to end infrastructure, technical projects and stakeholder community comprising of various engineering teams and their partners

    Experience at end to end project delivery; building roadmaps through to operational sustainability.

    Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings).

    Minimum Qualifications

    5+ years experience in software development project management in compute Infrastructure domains.

    Experience managing Cloud and Infrastructure programs.

    Past experience with deployments to AWS / Kubernetes platforms.

    Experience managing Cloud and Infrastructure projects.

    Agile project experience with evidence and able to demonstrate knowledge.

    Experience at prioritizing features and technical road maps.

    Proficiency and experience in delivering large scale infrastructure projects.

    BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree or related professional experience

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 and $290,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
