    Position summary

    de Apple MacBook Pro laptops. EEs are responsible for both schematic capture and coordinating layout of highly constrained multilayer PCBs, including HDI and fine pitch BGAs. Overcome complex design challenges requiring Signal Integrity and Power Integrity optimization required by Apple Silicons, as well as achieving the best electrical system design for Performance and Thermal. Routine responsibilities also include bring-up, validation, factory build support, and multi-disciplinary cross-functional collaboration and negotiation. We are looking for well-rounded candidates with a broad set of skill and interests, and the curiosity to dig deep wherever necessary to solve challenging problems. Opportunities exist to sample a variety of technology areas, and to remain general or specialize over time to develop subject matter expertise.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Strong EE fundamentals, grounded in a solid understanding of EE core with an understanding of computer and system architecture and the associated design choices/tradeoffs.

    • Working knowledge of design and validation requirements for common low-speed and high-speed digital interfaces: I2C, SPMI, SPI, JTAG, USB2/3, MIPI, PCIe, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, LPDP, DDR, LPDDR

    • Experience in circuit design for a variety of domains including power, digital, analog, high-speed communications, programmable logic, and/or wireless.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Schematic capture and constraint-driven PCB Layout using Cadence tools or similar

    • Highly motivated individual, with aptitude of curiosity, learn, creativity, and tendencies to lead and initiate

    • Experience or interest in the Machine Learning application in the field of EE board or circuit design and EE validations

    • Experience with Lab PCB bringup and debug, with SW/FW collaboration. Lab experience includes utilizing soldering, DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer.

    • Experience with interactions with Factory for new product development and mass production, including initiating HW test and performed failure analysis and triage.

    • Experience with complex data analysis, data visualization, and script development

    • 4-7+ years overall experience

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
