    Description

    Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of Apple's immigration program, including case initiations to outside counsel, coordination with various internal Apple stakeholders and enhancing the reporting capabilities of our program. Project Management: Develop and drive a large range of projects, including new country expansions, M&A, location strategy moves and immigration reform/government changes by partnering with members of Apple immigration team and other internal stakeholders. Vendor Management: Effective management of outside counsel, with the objective of uplifting the employee experience and service delivery. Stakeholder Communication: Act as point of contact between legal, hiring managers, and the People team, providing regular updates on immigration. Agile communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a highly-structured and strategic fashion. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all processes adhere to government regulations to mitigate risk of application denial or audits and analyse impact to all Apple's lines of businesses in the event of a legislative update. Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to Apple employees and internal Apple stakeholders on legislative changes, requirements, and best practices to ensure proper handling of cases. Superior Storytelling: Leveraging data to tell a comprehensive and compelling story to help influence People-related programs and objectives. Project Management and Team Support: Assist the broader immigration team with other immigration-related projects as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 5+ years of overall regional immigration experience, with focus on Greater China with a multi-national company or consulting firm

    • Superior understanding of Greater China immigration laws and regulations

    • Minimum of BA/BS or equivalent is required, preferably in Law or Legal Studies

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Highly organised self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability according to changing needs and demands
    • Successful track record partnering with all levels of clients and partners (HR, Recruiting, Business leaders, etc.)
    • Develop, design and conduct training for stakeholders on ongoing basis in relation to immigration matters
    • Ability to use data and analytics to build insights for planning purposes, reporting on trends and key data to develop the program further
    • Resilient, confident speaker with the ability to influence stakeholders
    • Experience with Mac OS and workday knowledge is a plus
