    Description

    The Data Center Engineering team is looking for an OT Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Data Center Operating Technology systems, the underlying network and integrating into and interfacing enterprise IT systems. Responsibilities: Design of data center facility networks and OT, including: Development of system architectures and facilities network diagrams. Development of OT device specifications, device selection, testing, approval and integration into Data Center monitoring and control systems. Coordinate with information security teams to and implement Cyber Security measures for OT, including ACLs and WAFs. Design and maintain device universal data templates. Provide updates of the designs based on lessons learned from current and previous projects. Provide configuration, programming and commissioning of the systems and oversight of third parties providing Systems Integration or support. Troubleshooting of network and systems issues, analyzing data and correcting issues. Enforce Apple's Data management and Governance policies Provide optimization of systems. Coordinate with internal IT teams to facilitate data exchange between OT and IT and implement enterprise intelligence and machine learning models. Provide training to Operations personnel. Follow Industry and Apple's Safety requirements.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience with Data Center facility networks and Operational Technology (OT).

    • Cyber Security for OT experience.

    • Experience with OT devices and management, such as Schweitzer protective relays, power meters and Blueframe; Schneider Electric ION power meters PM5000, PM8000 and ION 9000 series; PLCs, trip units and other intelligent electronic devices.

    • Deep understanding of OT Networks and proficiencies with communications protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, BacNet, Modbus, ION, IEC61850(MMS/GOOSE).

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, or a related field.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience with Data Center facility networks and Operational Technology (OT).

    • Working knowledge of the following languages/data structures: Java, Javascript, Python, JSON, C++/C and GOLang.

    • Familiarity with Inductive Automation's Ignition platform.

    • Deep understanding of OT Software & System Reliability Engineering.

    • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across all time zones to design, implement and maintain OT solutions to meet business needs while ensuring they meet the required standards and can integrate with IT systems.

    • Excellent planning & execution skills.

    • Ability to work under pressure with multiple ongoing projects.

    • Understanding of high availability electrical and mechanical systems and their controls and ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical system drawings.

    • Practical knowledge Virtual Machines & High Availability Distributed Systems (HA Software Management).
