    Description

    As an Optics Design Analysis Engineer, you will be working on analysis and assessment of the optics design to be manufacturable. You will be assigned to a project and be responsible for the manufacturability of its design through application of your experiences, design guidelines, and process limitations. You will also be involved in process and material development that pushes the boundaries of existing design space to enable new designs and innovations. We are seeking a person with logical thinking, self-driven and willing to take on a challenge.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in optics DFM such as optical design, optical simulation, opto-mechanical design, opto-mechanical simulation, and tolerance analysis

    • Effective and clear written and verbal communication skill in English

    • B.S./M.S. in Science, Technology, Engineering or equivalent field

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with design and simulation software for optics DFM (Ex. Ray tracing: CodeV, LightTools, Zemax, FEA: Abaqus, Ansys)
    • Experience with scientific computing languages for data analysis or simulation (Ex. Python, Matlab, C/C++)
    • Experience with CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting
    • Experience in process and material development for new design space exploration
    • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, testing, failure analysis of optical components or modules
    • Effective and clear written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and/or Mandarin
    • Strong presentation, communication, analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
