    Position summary

    al construction projects, provide outstanding facilities & site services, develop & lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs. We do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world. Apple's Retail Logistics team is a highly motivated, fast-paced, dynamic organization that is responsible for logistics operations in the APAC region and worldwide. The team operates in a highly cross-functional environment with both internal and external partners to help bring Apple Stores and Apple Products to life. The team is looking for a logistics professional with proven experience in project management to support the construction, preservation and operations of Apple Stores worldwide that meet key financial, service and schedule targets while following compliance guidelines.

    Description

    The Retail Logistics manager will work cross-functionally with Visual Merchandising, Marcom, Development, Facilities, and other teams throughout Apple to manage logistics operations for store development and new product introductions. The position requires collaboration, attention to detail, and a relentless pursuit toward flawless execution. Responsibilities: - Develop, influence and execute project logistics plans for store builds and fleet-wide rollouts - Forecast, analyze and meet cost, schedule & compliance requirements - Carrier performance in planning & execution of project deliverables - Freight cost management, audit, benchmarking and rate negotiations

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS/BA degree with 8-10 years logistics industry experience

    • Excellent communication, organizational, cross functional/collaborative, and analytical skills along with strong Project Management experience

    • Must be able to travel, and support teams in multiple time-zones

    • Technical competence: 1) Multi-modal, domestic/international/local transportation 2) Warehouse operations ; 3)Understanding of incoterms, HTS, DG, export/import requirements

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Manage global logistic roll outs to meet project schedule and cost targets
    • Develop operational plans to support pilots and project roll outs from select stores to entire fleet
    • Select and manage carriers' performance to set goals and objectives, administer carrier contracts and rate agreements and audit costs & payment
    • Create project scope documents to be used in the Logistics bidding process
    • Develop and enforce standards, guidelines and policies for packaging, documentation, communications, reporting, etc.
    • Review material vendor agreements for best practices in incoterms, logistics
