    intriguing, then let's talk. We are seeking a RF System Validation Lead to manage a team of engineers responsible for developing cellular modems integrated into Apple's mobile devices. The team's primary objective is to validate and optimize the receiver embedded within the cellular RF sub-system as well as secure RF subsystem modem integration for receiver related topics, such as downlink through-put across different cellular scenarios. As the Team Lead, you will be accountable for establishing the technical direction of the team. This entails defining the team's work scope, guiding their execution toward project objectives, and providing regular updates on challenges and progress. Your technical expertise will enable you to effectively guide your team in technical details while maintaining an overall understanding of the project's scope. You will prioritize requests to your team and align work you're doing with relevant collaborators. You are actively managing dependencies to other teams and ensure their in-time deliveries.     Description

    In the cellular modem development process, the radio frequency (RF) system undergoes rigorous development, characterization, and optimization before integration into diverse products. As the lead RF Rx system validation, you are responsible for the throughout of your team in the entire development lifecycle. Your team is entrusted with defining the test scope, planning and developing test cases, which are subsequently applied to characterize and optimize the RF system. Additionally, your team is responsible for developing regression tests that monitor the achieved performance throughout the development and productization phases. Furthermore, you will contribute your expertise and dedication to resolving intricate functional and performance failures reported during product testing, ensuring that these issues are addressed until the product's launch. Your collaboration skills will facilitate the resolution of technical challenges that require the cooperation of various teams located in different regions worldwide. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL ENCOMPASS THE FOLLOWING TASKS, AMONG OTHERS: • Define the scope of your team's work by comprehending the priority of various programs and products, while also respecting the team's capacity and capabilities. • Ensure alignment of your team with partner organizations to prevent any gaps in the development cycle until the product's launch. • Hold yourself accountable for ensuring product quality through the test campaigns conducted by your team. • The comprehensive test sequences will not only optimize performance but also guarantee the quality of continuous RF deliveries. • Demonstrate the comprehension of the impact of radio frequency (RF) impairments on product performance and possess the capability to debug critical system or field test issues. • Cultivate the professional development of each team member, ensuring that they attain expertise in critical technical aspects. • Monitor the progress and status of the project execution by establishing metrics with clearly defined verdicts. • Lead multi-functional teams comprising individuals from diverse subject areas, including System Engineering, Modem Integration, Hardware and Firmware development teams, to identify and resolve technical challenges. • Ensure the product validation readiness by the first day of hardware availability through virtual prototyping.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Validated leadership experience, either in project or line management roles.

    • Experience in the validation and optimization of radio frequency (RF) receivers, coupled with an educational background in RF technology.

    • Proficient understanding of digital RF receiver implementations and the key performance indicators of RF receivers.

    • Understanding of Challenges Associated with RF Subsystem Integration as a Component of Cellular Modem.

    • Proficiency in RF measurement techniques, including experience with innovative RF measurement instruments and their automation.

    • Sound knowledge of cellular 3GPP RF standards.

    • Excellent Python programming skills.

    • Proven experience in multi-functional collaboration, involving multiple teams and diverse subject areas.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to embrace exciting and diverse opportunities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • A comprehensive understanding of radio frequency (RF) cross-talk and RF interference avoidance and mitigation techniques is highly advantageous.

    • Experience in characterizing and debugging RF cellular systems and components, including systematic root-causing abilities, is also advantageous.

    • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
