    Description

    As a prototyping engineer you will be responsible for emulating a complex SOC & are expected to: - Work closely with the team, review specifications, develop prototyping plans and specifications. - Work closely with design & micro-architecture teams to understand the functional & performance goals of the design. - Work with firmware & driver development team in understanding & supporting their use-cases - Work on Synthesis / Place & Route, timing optimization, develop plans for custom hardware. - Work independently & manage deliverables to align with project goals plus support cross-functional engineering efforts.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced knowledge of CPU & SOC architecture/design.

    • Understanding the SW side (Python, C/C++) is preferred.

    • Strengths in digital logic design, Verilog, SystemVerilog, test-benches, simulation and debug.

    • Strong analytical skills, creative attitude and enthusiastic team player.

    • Experience in FPGA tool flows is a plus - Synthesis, Partitioning, Place & Route: ProtoCompiler, Synplify, Identify, ISE, Vivado, etc.

    • Hardware/System design, tools, debug, lab experience are a plus.

    • Good understanding of digital design concepts, computer architecture, Verilog/ System-Verilog, FPGA synthesis and simulation.

    • Excellent communication skills and demonstrate the desire to take on diverse challenges.

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
