The team is committed to supporting the Apple Maps business by building technological capabilities that enable business operations and optimize infrastructure efficiency. As a senior team member, you will be at the forefront of tackling challenging problems and addressing many use cases. Your role will involve delivering infrastructure solutions, enabling service teams to adapt and manage their services in a scalable, efficient, and optimized manner in a hybrid cloud environment.

    Description

    We are looking for a passionate and talented software engineer to focus on developing a robust and reliable continuous delivery platform. Our team is responsible for creating tools to manage deployments of complex, mission critical applications. This is a highly technical, hands-on role that provides exposure to managing infrastructure and applications across a hybrid cloud including design and implementation of new approaches and tools for reliability, scalability, and continuous delivery within Maps.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Industry experience in Full Stack Development and Kubernetes

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud providers like AWS or GCP

    • An interest in infrastructure, automation, and design of extensible and scalable software systems

    • Programming and software design skills

    • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical and architectural problems, while working with partners to iteratively find solutions

    • Exhibit proficiency in scoping and prioritizing tasks with a focus on incremental delivery and an iterative approach, ensuring adaptability to evolving project requirements

    • Bachelor's in Computer Science

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced Kubernetes experience including container and orchestration platforms

    • Proficiency in Go and/or Ruby

    • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment

    • A strong sense of ownership and an unwavering commitment to excellence in all aspects of work

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
